I am the King of the fish.
Monday, August 20th, 2007About three years ago I asked Rick for permission to use a Didjits tune (any one) in a promotional video for Cold War Skateboards that was going to be included on a DVD being given away to subscribers of a skateboard magazine called Concrete Wave. He said it was OK, but then I didn’t end up using a song. Three years later we got a last minute call to be included on the 2007 DVD. We didn’t have anything ready, so we went out and shot some footage for about three hours one Sunday, and I spent the next three nights after work looking at old footage, cataloging, digitizing, and editing. It was actually nice to have such a tight deadline since it prevented me from spending too much time on it. Anyway, here it is, and Rick, I hope it’s still OK to use a Didjits song.
Rick Sims Sighted in Chicago’s Roscoe Village
Wednesday, November 15th, 2006This just in–the infamous Rick Sims of the Didjits was sighted in Chicago’s northside Roscoe Village neighborhooded early this evening (11/15/06). Flanked by his four-year old twin bodyguards, Sims was being whisked from the local Starbucks by his wife manager Heidi into his silver colored mini-van to avoid Chicago’s insatiable paparazzi. Sims looked puzzled by the frantic honks of this writer’s car horn as we passed by.
Rich Kennedy where are you?
Monday, October 9th, 2006Now that we know where Andy O’Neil is… What? You didn’t hear? I ran into him at the Didjits reunion show in Champaign. He works with at risk kids or possiblt troublemakers in a CU high school. I meant to get his contact info but in the distraction of seeing the Didjits and about 50 other faces that came out of the woodwork, I forgot to get it.
Which brings us to the point. Rich Kennedy, former Shitty guy and Texas Instruments employee, (or was it HP Hewlitt Packard?) Where the hell are you?
