Rock and RollRock and RollRock and Roll

Eric J’s Dogs. Rock and Roll, behind the ramp at the last Shitty Guy house on Springfield. Click the pics to enlarge. Eric may not remember, but I suggested the names for these puppies back when he got them at the second TSG house. There’s probably a lot he doesn’t remember from those days. There were many a morning that students were treated to the site of Eric J still asleep in the grass of our front yard where he passed out at night, with both dogs sleeping quietly beside him. Reminds me of a story when I returned to school in 90’s and lived with Eric and Joel, and Rock and Roll, and Jen’s dog Faux Paw and Addy(sp?), Joels dog.. One night we all went out (to E.C’s probably) and came home to find that Rock and Roll had tor into a big 20lb bag of onions. They were scattered all over the kitchen floor, with bites taken out of each one of them, but none of them eaten very much. Those dogs were serious scavengers. It’s like they had to make sure to try every single onion just in case one didn’t taste bad.

Tom Koehl Has New Blog, Continues to Ignore TSG

Tuesday, November 28th, 2006

TSG member, the lovable Tom Koehl alias TK, (the actual one and only nice TSG) has absolutely REFUSED to be involved with the the TSG Sun.

In fact, as an ultimate insult to the TSG communityhe has devoted all of his many hours of extra time and energy into developing his own blog.

http://tomandkayoko.blogspot.com/

As you can see, he has taken great care to post numerous photos and thoughts at this site, but has made zero (0) posts or comments at www.tenshittyguys.com.

Check out his blog and give him some crap.

Happy Thanksgiving

Friday, November 24th, 2006

I’m sitting at my computer, feeling like I’ve been run over. But it’s a good feeling. The turkey’s been carved and everyone’s been fed. The dishes are clean and the house is back in order, thanks to my lovely wife. MB and I hosted our 4th Thanksgiving this year. Much smaller than a previous venture involving 40 guests, but a bit more relaxing. We had 14 adults including Randy and Gretchen. Brad Krohn and his wife, Beth, were also here. Other friends from Illinois and some new friends from Oregon.

Anyway, I just wanted to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving. And I’m putting out a suggestion for a shitty guy thanksgiving. I’ll even host the dinner and make the turkey.

Rick Sims Sighted in Chicago’s Roscoe Village

Wednesday, November 15th, 2006

This just in–the infamous Rick Sims of the Didjits was sighted in Chicago’s northside Roscoe Village neighborhooded early this evening (11/15/06). Flanked by his four-year old twin bodyguards, Sims was being whisked from the local Starbucks by his wife manager Heidi into his silver colored mini-van to avoid Chicago’s insatiable paparazzi. Sims looked puzzled by the frantic honks of this writer’s car horn as we passed by.

Swiv on the Quad 1985

late snap bonless one! Sweet. He looks like a 12 year old boy. He’s probably dropping that skateboard because it was an Uncle Wiggley that weighed about 75lbs. The tab in the corner of the full size version says OCT 85, but it was probably actually taken a bit earlier. Check out the shorts on the guy behind the sitting skater.

Naked Raygun Allowed To Perform For TSG Dudes

Thursday, November 9th, 2006

A small group of TSG and hangers-on met at Chicago’s Subteranean nightclub this past weekend for beer and hearty political and philosophical discussion. When somewhat famous, local band Naked Raygun, heard of the get together, they pleaded to be able to perform their loud and raucous “rock and roll” for the TSG guys. Permission was granted to the band, and a throng of other TSG fans, to view the festivities.

Local Chicagoans Neil and Mike, met up with Randy and the beautiful Gretchen, Evil Tom and Oreo. Randy and Gretchen flew in from Portland for the fun, Evil Tom drove in from Cincinatti and Oreo drove in from Iowa.

The band, along with a few other young minstrels leapt about the stage and played their musical instruments in a very loud manner. I asked, more than a few times, for them to “turn it down” but they didn’t seem to hear me. While it was mildly entertaining, I didn’t understand why music has to be performed so late as 8 PM is my normal time to retire for the evening.

I believe Randy has some photos that he should post for readers to see the festivities first hand.

These guys are married. And not to each other.
